Yoga that Gives Back
Join certified yoga instructor (and Hamilton Hall staff member) Rebecca Johnson on Monday, May 18 from 6:30PM - 7:45PM for a special pop-up yoga class benefitting two local Salem nonprofits: Plummer Youth Promise and Hamilton Hall. All ticket proceeds will go to support both organizations.
Whether you've loved yoga for years or have always wanted to try it, please join us for this special event.
Choose a spot underneath the sparkling chandelier, beside the fireplace, or alongside one of the tall windows in our third-floor Supper Room.
Roll out your mat onto the hardwood floor or the beautiful rug. Stretch out and relax in a space that's witnessed generations of feasts, toasts, and lively celebrations.
Breathe spaciousness into your body and mind as you move through a warming and relaxing flow of stretches and poses. Beginners are welcome!
Please bring: your own mat and any props you'd like. We will provide refreshing lemon water.
Accessibility notes:
- Mobility: the Supper Room is located on the third floor of the Hall and there is no elevator. There are handrails available on the way up the stairs. A few chairs will be available for those who prefer to practice seated.
- Touch: the instructor will not utilize any hands-on assists unless requested.
- Smell: there will be no added smells used during the practice such as incense or essential oils. We would appreciate it if attendees refrain from wearing scents such as perfume or cologne.
- Sound: soft music (played on a speaker) will accompany the practice.
- Lighting: the Supper Room is lit by natural light from the windows and a central chandelier with incandescent bulbs.
- Temperature: the third floor will be normal room temperature - this is not a heated yoga class.
About Plummer Youth Promise:
“Childhood is finite—and every moment matters. For young people in foster care, that time is often marked by uncertainty instead of stability. At Plummer Youth Promise, we work to restore what every young person deserves: a safe, stable, and emotionally secure family through permanency. The promise of family for everyone guides everything we do, creating space for connection, healing, dignity, learning, and joy to take root.”
